Greetings Fellow Travelers …

I have to say, Ted Dekker is an awesome writer. I have had the privilege of reading his “Circle Trilogy, Black, Red and White.” I just happen to have this awesome fiction on both my phone and an eReader.  I can’t tell you how incredibly convenient that is!

There is a very handy feature with the service I use on my phone and eReader. When I make progress on a book on one, the other is updated. In other words, the bookmark is moved to where I stopped, even if I was on the other device. Now THAT’S living! So is being able to squeeze in a few paragraphs while waiting for, well, whatever.

It seems I was inspired by his work even before I read it. My story, “The Amulet,” shows every sign of being inspired by “Black, Red and White.”  Are we kindred spirits, Ted Dekker and I? I would like to think so! How old is he? Is it possible that one of us was stolen away and raised separately? Do you see any resemblance?

(Do you think he would endorse my latest collection, “Once-Told Tales?”  Wouldn’t THAT be fantastic?)

(How DARE you compare yourself to Ted Dekker, you HACK)

That’s the old self trying to convince me to give in to Satan’s lies again. Sorry, old self, those days are gone. Never again will I set my gift and my dreams aside in order to feel the false-assurance offered by you, rather than the freedom and joy of surrender to Jesus Christ and His Gift of Life.

And there you have the End of the World- the old world I used to call home. My world is the World of Words, namely the written word, but I’m sure the spoken word is in my future as well. I have no business spending any more time in that wretched and decaying glob of refuse I once called home.

No, I didn’t forget the So-Cal Peeps. My fellow writer, friend, and editor, Teresa Ortiz and her husband Art are indeed my So-Cal Peeps. These beautiful people have been exercising their Prayer Warrior skills on my behalf and that of my grandson Tres since his horrific injury on October 28th.  He is doing well, thank you, and is blessed to have so many folks in his corner.

Thank you so much for reading my article. I would love to stay and chat, but there are worlds to create!

Thanx, Sis. I still love the feel and smell of real books, but it's hard to ignore the convenience of the "e" versions.
