Jesse James and Sandra Bullock- What's Up with That?

Greetings Fellow Travelers

I'm sure you know by now that the chopper mogul and entrepreneur Jesse James of West Coast Choppers fame has done stepped in it. He issued a statement after his wife, actress Sandra Bullock, left him saying that because of his mistakes he deserves "everything bad that's coming my way."

And, I'm sure he does. He apparently did something along the lines of adultery or infidelity, however you want to put it. I, for one, don't think he owes me or anyone other than his wife an apology. Still, while I applaud his taking the initiative in issuing this statement I must admit I am disappointed.

I was a huge fan of his shows, and saw him as a "real" person in a world of phonies. He seemed to resent the fame thrust on him by the success of his bike shop and television pursuits.

Then he married Sandra Bullock, and , like you, I thought that was an odd mix. Then he showed up on Donald Trump's ridiculous program "Celebrity Apprentice." I never watched that show anyway, I just figured the Jesse James I grew to respect had faded into the macro-cosmic idiocy of Hollywood.

Still, people change as their life progresses. It's a natural part of growing and adjusting to the issues thrown at all of us. Now this.

My heart goes out to Sandra Bullock. She has had her Oscar victory ripped to shreds on the public stage. And, no, I don't by into the "Oscar curse." That's just a bunch of garbage. The pressures of daily life, already amplified by fame, are doubled or tripled by the added attention brought on by such a prestigious award.

She is a wonderful actress. I thoroughly enjoyed her performance in "All About Steve." Even "The Proposal," an acquired taste for me, is a good story well played.

Even though they didn't ask for it, (which never stops me!), and will likely never see it, here's my advice for Sandra Bullock and Jesse James.

Sandra, be good to yourself. We know you love your husband and I believe he loves you. This is going to be a rough period in your life, but you are a strong woman. Your accomplishments are evidence of your strength and resolve, not to mention your magnificent talent. Hang in there, kiddo. It will get better, but, it will be bad for a while.

Just don't give up.

Jesse. Boy, have you lost your mind? Wake up and smell the roses. You, too, have an amazing record of accomplishments. Did you change too much, too fast? Doesn't matter. You made a commitment to your wife and she needed you to stick to it. You didn't.

Be ready for a long period of deep sadness and ridicule, but don't listen to the media. Reach deep and find that resolve and that spirit that got you to the top of the chopper world, among others.

I believe in both of you.

I took one look at this guy and said "She's in trouble" And guess what? Few months later that's what happened. Gee, he embarrassed her and the family? Surprise. Not!

I agree. In some ways I do respect Jesse, he seemed to be a lot more sincere than the others. Still, I would never have paired Sandra Bullock with him. She wanted the "bad boy," and she got one!

Thanks for stopping by!

I rarely follow celebrity stuff, but I gotta tell ya: the woman Jesse James cheated on Ms. Bullock with is probably the trashiest I've seen in awhile. What was he thinking? Ms. Bullock isn't my type, but there isn't enough liquor on the planet for me to get with that other woman.

"probably the trashiest I've seen in awhile." She is that, isn't she? But, have you seen his first wife?
