Greetings Fellow Travelers ...

Ok, let's have a show of hands. How many of you guys out there in 'Warp land would take a serene and happy circumstance and destroy it, knocking down a stable and venerable hero in the process?

If you want to write great fiction, you will have no problem doing either- on paper, that is.

And, you can work from home!

However, the best part about is you get to decide how far down our hero goes, and, of course, the farther the better. Give him, or her, what seems to be obvious insurmountable obstacles. Add in a villain who is pure evil, not to mention powerful, and you have the makings of great fiction- friction.

Our hero has shortcomings that threaten his success. It may be a character flaw, or flaws, or a physical or mental deficiency. He must also face the possibility of catastrophic failure and the likelihood of the betrayal of an important ally.

How about someone who decides to live their dream and work from home? You will not have any trouble imagining the foils and pitfalls one must endure to do that.

Do you see how much fun that would be? Create an unkillable monster, then kill it, and give the world a great story to boot!

So, do you think you have the right stuff? Are you brave enough to sit down at a keyboard and pour your heart out? Are you able to handle the "stress" of making a living doing something you love?

Then get to it! What are you waiting for? It may take you a while to get there, but you'll never get there if you don't take that first step.

I leave you with this question.

Can you handle success?

Ken McCreless is just a guy who loves to write, and was born to do so. He is a freelance writer with several projects ongoing, including books and magazines. A huge fan of both irony and history, Ken has dedicated his life and his writing to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
