Greetings Fellow Travelers ...
Do you ever watch Judge Judy? I must admit I am a bit of a fan. She has a way of cutting through the BS that is quite entertaining. Litigants almost always have paperwork to show her, and, from the camera angle, all you can see is the back of the sheets. For all we know it could be totally blank. However, even if it holds information, it is around a quarters worth of paper and ink. What makes it so important?
The power of words.
You, as a writer, wield that power. Your skills can lift someone up or tear them down. You can either be a force for "good," or "evil."
Why should you care? Because your skills are not all that common, so the great multitude will look to you as a resource. Like it or not, folks need your talent to shine. Your ability to craft the power of words into a usable and relevant work is as necessary as food or water.
How can you responsibly use the power of words? Write from the heart! Write, not what you know, but to find out what you know. You will be surprised at the gold mine of knowledge that you possess.
Think of the great thinkers over the ages who were not afraid to put pen to paper- and change the world!
Is that you? Do you have a calling to write?
