Greetings Fellow Travelers ...

Recently I told you guys about my new bike. I named it Janine after my granddaughter, Lillian Janine; Janine being a reference to her Grandma, my wife Janie.

These pictures were taken on Easter, when the family came over.

As you can see, I really like my bike! This is not only my first Harley, it is also my first bike. I have ridden before, but had never owned one.

What a blessing it it to realize a dream! To be honest, I had not even considered that I might actually have a Harley someday. It seemed to be one of those things one really wants to do, but never does; like fly a fighter jet, or be a rock star.

But here she is!

Here my granddaughter Lilly has found the horn button- repeatedly! Of course, Grandpa had to flip the ignition switch to "On" first. Don't worry, the "off-run" switch must be on "run" for anything to happen.

When I brought the bike around she came right on out. She wanted to climb up on it, but the engine was a little warm, so I made her wait until it had cooled down. Once on it she didn't want to get off. She has quite an adventurous spirit, that silly girl.

This shot is of Lilly standing on the seat, her "tribute" to Indian Larry.

Lookout! Scary biker comin' at ya!

On a run, at speed, to see my son and show off the bike. Soon there will be more on the bike and less on me.

Super Glide Janine, ready to Write and Ride! Upgrades are in the works, including a sissy bar, so Janie can ride with me, louder pipes and a performance air intake- among others. Pic is b & w on purpose, for effect.

And finally, my favorite picture. She loves that bike!

I hope you have enjoyed these pictures. There are more and will be on my website soon.

Thanks for stopping by.

First Dianne and her horse back riding and now you with the motorcycles, what is it with you people? People fall off of horses and fall off of motorcycles. You are grown adults and should not be taking all these risks.  I am glad to see you are wearing a helmet however, but I'm sure that is because it is a law in yor state, otherwise you would want to feel the wind in yor hair, right? Go ahead tell me I'm wrong.

Now take care of yourself out there! People don't always see guys on motorcycles and will run right over you.

Congrats on getting the bike if that was one of your dreams, just be careful and I don't want to hear of you riding with those hell's angels or any foolishness like that either. Okay, momma is done now, you can go back outside and play.

Actually, I wear a helmet after working in our local trauma center. Texas does not require a helmet. I have no desire to feel the wind in my hair or bugs in my teeth, as the more hardcore riders do. I love the freedom I experience. Like anything else the  benefits are worth the risks.

Thank you for reading and commenting, Myla, I really appreciate it.
